LIFESTYLE |BACKSTAGE MEMOIRS AT THE LFW AW18 PRESENTATIONS

Currently listening to NF | Lies

It’s been kinda a little while right? Life has been coming at me really fast but heaven knows I ain’t complaining. This past weekend I was opportune again to work with the Lagos Fashion Week team in creating instastories for their AW 18 presentation and it was super fun. This gave me a free pass to all the happenings at the event site and I thought ‘why not take photos of what captures my eyes backstage since all the other photographers will be focusing on the runway?’ and that’s what today’s post is all about.

DAY ONE

This day, the idea of creating backstage content for my blog haven’t hit me yet but I still took my camera along anyway. I was super excited to see model extraordinaire Uju Marshall backstage plus she is such a sweet person so I went ahead to capture her in her element.Lagos fashion week AW18 presentationUju Marshall Lagos fashion week AW18 presentation

DAY TWO

This was the day the idea hit me, it was the Orange Culture and Kenneth Ize show day amongst others so backstage had a lot of activities going on. My favorite male model and friend Toyin was in the building also my girl crush Bubu Ogisi of IAMISIGO was also present helping out with styling, so you bet my camera fingers went on a flicking spreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee…Mac cosmetics Lagos fashion week AW18 presentationKenneth IzeIAMISIGOLagos fashion week AW18 presentationLagos fashion week AW18 presentationLagos fashion week AW18 presentationLagos fashion week AW18 presentationLagos fashion week AW18 presentationLagos fashion week AW18 presentationDenola GreyLagos fashion week AW18 presentationLagos fashion week AW18 presentationLagos fashion week AW18 presentationLagos fashion week AW18 presentationLagos fashion week AW18 presentation

DAY THREE

Will you believe I left my dorm and went all the way to the Wings Complex where the event was holding with my camera but forgot to pack my batteries (*insert gasp emoji here), after having such a bright idea to capture backstage events the day before?! I sulked the whole day because day three designers like Maxivive and Onalaja brought drama and I couldn’t capture it. The light at the end of the tunnel for me this day, was a lesson learnt to always pack my bags a night before henceforth.

Me on day three morning : I’m going to take lit photos today!!

I hope you enjoyed this photo diary as I plan to make more of this kind of post to share interesting happenings in my life. I felt so good to be called on again after working with the Lagos Fashion Week body last year in October, it means that they must have liked what I brought to the table to want to work with me again and this goes to show that ‘what so ever is worth doing is worth doing well’. Do enjoy the rest of your week and I apologize for not posting this yesterday, I was fun-lagged (if that’s a word lol).

Love always…

Did you enjoy this post? Will you like to see more posts like this? How often will you like me to post here on a weekly basis? Kindly share your thoughts with me by leaving a comment below, thanks.

  2. I just love your eye for things! Really enjoyed looking through the photos you took, especially the one which you used to express your camera battery situation – lmao! Please keep them coming! It’s all about the details. Heck, I now find myself wishing I was a model – so much clear skin in these shots!

  3. You know I was stalking your Instastories because of all them fine brothers you captured. So sorry about your batteries but the last picture as a reference to your batteries is just funny. All the backstage photos were great and are so professional.
