Over the just concluded Easter holiday, there was a lot of talk about traveling and even lots of photos from people on vacation and boy, how I wished to be in their shoes because travel to me is more than just having pretty photos to post on the gram, it is for soul maintenance as food is for body maintenance. In today’s post, I’m sharing with you how I’ve been able to travel and broaden my horizon without necessarily having a visa or to move about.
What I’m Wearing :
Dress : TheNaleGirl
Glasses : Shop.tti
Bag : Barbeach market

I’ve woken up in different countries thanks to these amazing set of people, I honestly never heard of Zanzibar or ever knew that there’s a Marrakech in Morocco that’s breathtakingly beautiful. Let’s not even talk of how I didn’t think BoraBora is real till I saw photos with real humans there. One of my favorites is @spirited_pursuit because she stays showing me the beauty that’s rooted in Africa.
READ ABOUT NEW PLACES
Asides from seeing photos on Instagram,at your spare time, read about that new town you learnt about, their people, their culture etc, by doing so, it’s almost like experiencing the place in real life like your favorite travel influencer. You might even learn more about the place than the person who is there because you’d be learning more than just cute picturesque places.
EXPLORE YOUR CITY
I currently live in Lagos and believe me when I say there is a lot to see. From the amazing beaches to the conservation center to even the restaurants. We stay obsessing about traveling and seeing the world when we haven’t even seen our immediate environment. This is the only one that might involve you moving or spending some money but in the end, it’s totally worth it.
BONUS : PLAY DRESS UP
This has become one of my favorite ways to travel, I’ve been buying all things raffia and woven, wearing pretty long and flowing dresses like I’m on vacation in a tropical island.
While I’m over here gushing over how fab I look in this dress from TheNaleGirl, I hope with these few points of mine I’ve been able to convince you to stop sulking over not being able to afford to pack your bags and go but instead to get your mind intact and explore via your imaginations. May this new week be a blessing to you and yours.
