THE ABNORMAL BEAUTY COMPANY WITH ABNORMAL DRAMA

Currently listening to an elderly man sell his merchandise on a bus

To stay motivated and always flowing with ideas, experts advice that you have a content calendar where you schedule content for each day as regards what topics you’d like to talk about on those particular days. So I decided to share beauty related topics on Wednesday’s and today is a Wednesday which means BEAUTY WEDNESDAY. I’ve already started doing this on my instagram stories but to kick off on the blog I decided to start with a HOT TOPIC in beauty and skincare news which is the DECIEM drama and as a believer of the brand, I’ve decided to share with you three products I’m stocking up on just incase they decide to shut down again and go out of business which I really pray they do not…

T H E G I S T

The Abnormal Beauty Company Deciem is every millennials dream come true as regards skincare (not sure why I used the word millennial because I’m not even sure what it means but I digress), it’s high quality and CHEAP, very CHEAP which I think is why the brand gained so much popularity especially with its ‘The Ordinary’ range. But recently there has been a lot of drama courtesy of the brand CEO acting really funny which led Estée Lauder a 28% shareholder of the brand taking them to court with an attempt to have him step down as CEO which rumor has it that they succeeded. Brandon the CEO even went on to announce shutting down of the brand for two months. Luckily, about two days ago all their outlets were reopened, their Instagram page running and sales in progress.

⁃ THE HIGH ADHERENCE SILICONE PRIMER

At first I hated this because I was expecting a matte finish without doing my googles before I learnt that the silicone primer doesn’t give a matte finish instead what it does is prep your face for makeup application to be smooth and seamless. Since this discovery, I use this almost everyday even when I’m not wearing makeup as it gives me that poreless skin illusion.

⁃ THE AHA AND BHA PEELING SOLUTION

I think the entire world swears by this!! I’ve used this twice since I got it and I love it. I saw an instant enhancement in the color of my skin as sunburns won’t let a sister be great. I hear that it takes about 2-3months to see it’s full effect and I honestly can’t wait.

⁃ THE VITAMIN C SUSPENSION

I haven’t tried this or own it YET but my friend bought it behind my back and the following week I saw her after she started using it I noticed a visible difference on her skin, sis was glowing and you bet I wanna glowwwwwww too. I have used a vitamin c serum previously so I already know how good it is but I’m looking at trying this one from Deciem.

Whether or not this might be a publicity stunt as some think (I think not because they already have publicity), I’ve fallen a victim and adding to cart like my life depends on it. The brand does not offer free shipping to Nigeria but our good friend ASOS stocks The Ordinary products and ships to Nigeria for free when you spend over £20. I hope you enjoyed today’s post, I’d definitely be back next week with some more exciting beauty related stuff so be sure to bookmark this.

Love always…

Have you heard of Deciem? Do you own any of their products? Let me know your thoughts on this post in the comments below, thank you.

  1. My gallery is filled with screenshots of the beauty products you have done reviews of (which I plan on getting but no money. LOL.) and now you are doing this one too? Let me just screenshot this and add it to my lust list.

    Thank you for this ma’am.
